I changed my username to more accurately reflect the fact that I am a huge dork who has no life outside of marching band. It's a mashup of two nicknames I received in the college marching band, and is also the username I have been using across other real-life accounts (primarily Instagram, but also on some other places).

I never really use deviantART anymore (especially since summer 2012 where I was a Complaints reg), and I'd be lying if I said I'd be attempting to make more of an effort to use the website more frequently anytime soon. I do need to take photos of my artwork and at least upload them to my computer. I have a lot of work that hasn't made it into my portfolio just yet.

My undergraduate work was completed in May. I have a degree. That's kinda weird and significant. I have adult jobs and responsibilities now too. Also weird and significant.

I've been on this website for over ten years and that's pretty freaking nuts. It's so strange to think that wow, I've actually grown up with this silly website and this silly internet community.

Anyway, I'll be going to Comic-Con this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! :D If you'll be there, let me know! If you want to follow the adventures of things I do, head on over to my Tumblr page and follow my shenanigans there!

I'll try to be more active here. x)

That's a bit of a frightening thought. :stare:

So after a hellishly long drive down to San Diego (dude I hate being in the car for 7 hours actually DOING the driving), we got to our hotel/motel dealy Thursday evening. Pizza Bella is best pizza. It's in Old Town, if you're ever in San Diego.

Friday was pretty fun. I actually got into the Korra panel this year (last year people were all excited for Firefly and I had to pick up my badge Friday morning and blahhh). :la: It was super cool. As you guys probably already know, we got to watch the premiere of the first episode of Season 2. But before that, we finally got a freaking release date. September 2013! It could be anywhere from September 1st to September 30th, but it's SOMETIME in September. The season seemed to take on a bit of a change of pace from the first one, and almost seems to reestablish the state of the world and Korra's development in the first episode. Nothing spoilertastic from me if you're avoiding them. Oh yeah, I went to the Big Bang Theory panel before that. I guess it was kinda funny. The show isn't my thing though.

I also got Issue 9 of the MLP Comic (one of the con exclusives; it's the one with the Comic-Con cover, which I actually find more entertaining than the Vinyl Scratch cover). I like the Big Mac story - it's fun to see inside his head! I also really like the included Sunset Shimmer mini-story; it connects very well with the events of Equestria Girls and expands on what exactly got Sunset Shimmer into this crazy parallel world scenario. I find the parallels with Twilight astounding, really. I know a lot of people have head-canoned that Starswirl couldn't become an alicorn or whatever because he didn't have the magic of friendship in mind, and her story is very similar.

I had the chance to meet Andy Price and Thom Zahler of MLP comic fame (Andy does the art for the main series and some micro comics, and Thom wrote the Twilight Sparkle micro comic and has ideas for other ones - including characters like Zecora). Andy hinted that there might possibly be a micro-comic staring a pony princess who might be blue and might have control over the moon. :D I also stopped by Stephen Silver's booth, as I try to do every year I go, because he's awesome. He drew me a Danny Phantom. :)

On Saturday, which is today, I went to the My Little Pony panel. That was really fun! My friend is stuck in a wheelchair for the con, but that worked to our advantage because we got front-row seats. We even got to sit next to Amy Keating Rogers! :la: She is, of course, one of the writers for My Little Pony, but she also wrote the only episode of Danny Phantom Season 3 I enjoyed - D-Stabilized! So that was super cool. :D Meghan McCarthy, Daniel Ingram, Tara Strong, Andrea Libman, and Cathy Weseluck were a hoot to watch and listen to, too! They revealed that Pinkie Pie gets a musical episode (which will include songs from the 15-20ish that will be included in the season; Daniel wrote more than that), that Derpy will be making more appearances, Rarity will get an episode (YAY!), Zecora will be there more, and Pinkie Pie's sister(s?) will be visiting Ponyville. We got to watch some animatics since not all the animation is finished yet, which included a Scootaloo flying-centric episode (finally!), a song with the Apples plus Pinkie Pie, and Nightmare Moon making some sort of comeback!

I visited Katy Cook and Agnes Garbowska and bought art from them. Katie's art is so adorable! x3 I also got to meet Lauren Faust and Craig McCracken again, and got a BIGGER Wander Over Yonder poster this time! Haha!

I will recap tomorrow, although to be honest there's nothing specific I want to see thus far aside from New 52 Superman stuff. I do like Superman... :)

Wee, Comic-Con's coming up! :la: I'm excited! It kinda came out of nowhere for me considering I've been so busy doing things that aren't art for the past few weeks that I haven't had time to actually, y'know, do art. Once I get the marching band tee and some other stuff done I'll have lots more time to art. I need to. :\

Also I'm kindof using Tumblr more but not really but I might upload schtuff to there that I don't upload here (sketches, crafts, other stuff). But if you want you can follow me here. :)
